Our hazardous material vacuums are equipped with a certified HEPA filter, a double layer intermediate micro filter, and a totally enclosed 2-ply disposable paper filter bag. The HEPA filter is made of high strength microfiber glass paper separated by corrugated aluminum sheeting entrapped in a steel screen. All HEPA filters are rated with a minimum efficiency of 99.97% at 0.3 microns.
All Certified HEPA filters meet or exceed the following standards: UL-900; ansi-2-92

Pneumatic powered vacuums are ideal for working in wet environments or where long lengths of vacuum hose are required. Air motors require no maintenance and contain no moving parts. A built-in pressure relief valve restricts water lift to 160" to prevent tank collapse. An on/off flow valve and pressure gauge are provided

Air Systems’ dual speed portable fume extractor, Model PFE-210, provides 105 or 210 cfm flow through a 2“ x 9’ hose and a 6” capture nozzle with magnetic base stand. Ideal for light to medium welding applications, such as spot or bench top welding, where large cabinet style fume extractors are not practical. The PFE-210 features a removable steel spark tray, and stainless steel filter spark screen.
Available with MERV 15 filter (PFE-210NAN) or MERV 17 HEPA filter (PFE-210HEP).

Important Welding Fume Health Standard Change:
Effective May 30, 2006, OSHA lowered the PEL for Hexavalent Chromium and its compounds called Hex Chrome from 52 to 5 micrograms per cubic meter. This standard affects all general industry, shipyards, and construction industry activities with regard to welding on stainless steel and painted surfaces. The new standard necessitates source capture of these extremely harmful compounds with the use of HEPA filtered portable welding fume extractors. (FED REG 71:10099-10385)
